Taipei capital city of Taiwan, modern city
with busy shopping streets and skyscrapers.I have planned for 3 days’ trip. One of the cheapest trip you can do
from Japan. According to me this can be covered in 2 days as well, if you start
the day little early. Metro train can cover most of the places. Have a map
in your hand easy to walk around.
Day 1:
Lungshan Temple:
Religious site and main place to explore both Taiwan`s folk faith and temple architecture.
Fujian immigrants found it in the year of 1738. Lot of natural and manmade disaster happened to the temple still the constructed it back.
It is one of the largest and oldest temple in Taiwan. lot of small Buddha statue was inside these pillars.
Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall:
It was built in the memory of Chiang Kai-Shek farmer President of the Republic of China.it is a white building with blue roof.
It symbolizes good Fortune. It is located in between Memorial hall and National Theater.
The name of the square officially called liberty square. Guard-changing ceremony happens here.
Taipei 101:
It is Taipei World Financial Center. It was a world tallest building in the year 2004. It completes half kilometer mark in height.
It is built in a way withstands for typhoon, earthquake etc. Taipei 101 features an Indoor Observation deck(88th and 89th floor) and an Outdoor Observation deck (91st floor). Both offer 360-degree views and attract visitors from around the world
Day 2:
Jiufen Village, Nanya Rock Formation, Bay of Two Colors:
All the above places I took half a day tour, which costs around 1100NTD.
Jiufen village is good for shopping and street food is popular. Jiufen was a gold mining town. It had a stunning view of Pacific Ocean
Nanya Rock Formation:
The northernmost tourist site in the scenic area, Nanya is noted for its fantastic rock formations and sea-eroded coral shore.
Sandstone sculptures formed by waves. 10 mins walk from here you can reach Bitou cape.
Below is the bay of two colors, due to more copper content in the surface the sea water is turning into kind of pale white
It has lot of hiking trials; you can enjoy panoramic view of mountain, beach, land, sky altogether.
Day 3:
Keelung City, Yehliu GeoPark, Queen`s Head Rock:
This trip is worth going and one of the must see things in Taipei, since it is located little far in the North, I took a half day tour costs around 1300NTD.
Yehliu GeoPark:
It is a home for Unique geological formations including the iconic "Queen's Head".
Apart from this there are other Unique formation of rocks like Sea candles, Fairy`s Shoe, Honeycomb rocks, Mushroom rocks etc.
It was like another tourist location. Hotel was located very near to TSA Airport, Taipei. More than 60 years old and owned by NGO.
It is built in a way Chinese classic style with various amenities
Very few main foods I tried this time, like beef noodles and dumplings. Hope it is normal in any Asian countries.
Shilin Night Market:
Taiwan Style Spring roll
Assorted Chicken parts
