Owl Cafe, Tokyo Things to Do

Tokyo always offers many interesting things to do. Themed cafes and Restaurants are very popular in Tokyo. So I thought of trying one of the unique cafes among Cat, hedgehog and bird cafe. These kind of cafes are popular among tourists as well. First time I have tried one such cafe is Owl Cafe (Akiba Fukuro Cafe). This cafe you need to book in advance.

This place offers visitors to interact with Owls, per person 2 owls are allowed to carry in their hand for few minutes. Before we get into the cafe you will reading FAQs, do`s and Don’ts. you are requested to maintain silent before you enter the cafe itself.

These owls are really calm and these environment will make to maintain silence always. I also felt it is bad to keep them caged but with that environment they give proper rest.

 

Only few Owls can be taken in your hand, in the above owls with Pink sticker we are not even supposed to touch。

They love being touched only in their head, as per instruction.

Owl from India, this cafe have 32 types of owls. Each one is unique and cute

Owls cannot be trained like any other animals. Based on Eye color we can identify when they prefer to hunt. Orange - Dawn and Dusk, Dark eyes - Hunt during Night, Yellow Eyes -Hunt during day

The smallest owl in that cafe, the naughtiest one I felt, pygmy owl called Shrimp

Below is an Asian Barred Owlet called Cherry tomato, big attention seeker in that cafe

He is Mr President and VIP in that cafe

Really they don’t look at us, funniest thing is to take one good photo you need to try all tricks. 

Really Enjoyed for an hour, I felt time went too fast .of course I felt happy and refreshed. Still I think is it really need to be caged. Next will come up with very interesting Cafe in Tokyo.
