I planned for 5 days Trip to
Seoul,South Korea. I choose Gimpo airport since it is near to Seoul City.
The city famous for its pop culture, shopping, very tasty food
and of course skyscrapers as well. One can feel
the influence of chinese and Japanese culture. You can cover the
following places even in 2 or 3 days as well.
Gyeongbokgung Palace:
It is also called as Northern Palace, because of the place it located. It was built in Joseon Dynasty. It is popular among tourists.
This palace was burnt in fire and they rebuilt again.
Gwanghwamun Gate is main gate for this palace.
Trust me I am standing along with the person , who looks eaxtly like statue.It will take around 2-3 hours to see the whole palace.
Throne Hall Compound is the place where important functions took place.
Bukchon Village:
This is walkable distance from Gyeongbokgung Palace. Traditional village located in middle of the city.
These traditional houses are operated like guest house, workshops, tea house and cultural center and to know about the Korean culture.
You can
also visit observation deck to have panoramic view of the village. It has
extremely beautiful and amazing contrast between modern and traditional korea
Insadong:
One of the famous places for shopping in Seoul.you can buy Hanbok, crafts, Souvenirs and other accessories
Day 2: DMZ Tour, the War Memorial of Korea and N Seoul Tower
DMZ:
While in Seoul, travel to the Korean Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) and Panmunjom – officially known as the Joint Security Area (JSA) – and experience the border that divides North Korea and South Korea
During my half a day tour I visited only DMZ, We drove along the freedom bridge and Unification Village, Imjingak Park to see artillery used during the Korean War.
Freedom Bridge:
The train which was used as commutation between North and South Korea before the war
Imjingak Park border of two Korean Countries:
Dorasan Station, The train station built to connect North and South Korea. It was unsuccessful due to the war between two countries. There is a possibility via these Train route connects to Europe.
Now there is only one train which runs from Seoul city to Dorasan station which is near to DMZ (2 times a day)
The War Memorial of Korea:
Materials Used in Korean War are well preserved here. Lot of activities will be happening in every room in museum please do get the booklet from information center and enjoy the shows and other activities.
Statue of Brothers
You can see and experience different kinds of Aircrafts and Tankers used in the war
N Seoul Tower:
Namsan Seoul Tower is an observation deck located on top of the Mountain, First Radio Wave tower. Enjoy the Night View of Seoul city and other places located nearby.
Love Pad lock, you can wish for your love, lock it and throw the key into the valley.
Day 3: Deoksugung Palace, Shopping and SPA
Deoksugung Palace
It is one of the five popular palace in Seoul. It is very popular for its stone wall road.
1. Myeondong
2. Insadong
3. Dongdaemun
Dragon Hill Spa:
One of the Famous and costliest Spa in Seoul. Korea is also very famous for "AKASORI", Traditional way of Removing Dead cells from your body
Korean Special Food:
